Performs software quality assurance tasks requiring testing and reporting to ensure that developed, vendor provided and client-provided software products meet requirements and design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. Projects include testing of software installation packages (custom software and third party), system integration of updated and new third party packages, network and system integration testing in LAN's and client server environments. Works with software project team on test case updates. Executes test cases and documents results and defects. Reports status on a regular basis. Operates under general supervision.



Primary Functions (Listed in order of importance with estimated amount of time spent on each task)







1. 55% Execute test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing.



2. 20% Test case updates, edits, and other testing related documentation.



3. 10% Participate in status meetings, reporting status.



4. 15% Other duties as assigned by SQA managers and project coordinators.





Experience:



Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Business and/or equivalent education experience preferred.



Two to four years of related experience. Previous software or systems integration testing experience a plus.







Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:



Demonstrated understanding of interdependence of assignments on project and impact of missed deadlines.



Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required for interaction internally and externally.



General working knowledge of Windows PC (98, Win2K, XP) required.



General working knowledge of Windows server (2000, XP, Vista, 2003 Server) a plus.



General working knowledge of client server networks, LAN's, network configurations strongly preferred.



Knowledge of Install Shield a plus.



General working knowledge of MS Office applications.
