The Litigation Support Project Manager is responsible for maintaining projects related to the Firm's litigation support technology software (Concordance, IPRO, LiveNote, Sanction, CaseMap, TimeMap). Provides on-going technical support to end-users who are using the Firm's automated litigation support applications in their daily work. Performs tasks associated with producing databases and imagebases via the Firm's chosen systems. Performs quality checks to ensure quality and accuracy of in-house data processing as well as vendor deliverables. Responsible for data conversion, database maintenance, data management, and document imaging related tasks.







Primary Responsibilities:







· Maintain database, image collection, and transcript systems – load vendor deliverables to Concordance, IPRO, and LiveNote to maintain production document collections, exhibit collections, and searchable transcripts. As needed, complete data reformatting via text editing tools or database programming (MS-Access).



· Analyze native electronic data discovery collections to determine file type contents; convert and load data and images received from various sources (client, local counsel, co-counsel, opposing counsel, etc.) into Firm’s applications (Concordance/IPRO). Requires extensive knowledge of data manipulation tools such as TextPad, Access, and Excel.



· Assist with image system document production review tasks by maintaining tracking logs in Excel and performing quality control tasks to maintain consistency for later production processing.



· Prepare imaged documents for production as identified during review – build out image sets via IPRO utilities for blowback by vendor or creation of CDs/DVDs for image production (may involve manipulation of production categories and criteria assigned to eliminate privilege or non-responsive materials; assigning a watermark; selective confidential stamping).



· Maintain medical records and medical literature image collections via IPRO scanning and project updates.



· Provide on-going support to end-users by assisting with database searches and report generation; case specific training of end-users on legal technology applications/databases; provide data analysis services including reports, queries, charts and graphs.



Additional Responsibilities:







· Work directly with Infosys Staff to troubleshoot problems related to the distribution of the Firm's legal technology applications requiring knowledge of Concordance, LiveNote, and IPRO System Administration. Setup hardware as needed to fulfill tasks – external drives, CD/DVD burners, printers, and scanners. General troubleshooting of the Firm litigation support applications as needed to identify bugs or potential enhancements.



· Assist Director of Litigation Support with vendor coordination (preparation of materials to be transmitted for scanning or coding); assist with trial preparation (maintain exhibit scan projects in IPRO), and assist with litigation support training.











Job Qualifications:







· College degree or equivalent experience and technical training as indicated below.



· Minimum of 3 years of litigation support experience – preferably in a law firm environment or on projects with law firms.



· Strong technical skills - ability to create, load, support and maintain image-based litigation databases. Ability to administrate and support the firm's litigation technologies specifically: Concordance, IPRO, CaseMap, LiveNote, Sanction, MS Access, MS Excel. Experience with CD/DVD creation applications and hardware. Familiar with various scanner, printer, and presentation hardware configurations.



· Working knowledge of internet based ASP's, Extranets, and document repositories helpful. Working knowledge of network and operating systems, concepts and software.



· Certifications are a plus.
