Executive Director
The SEI Giving Fund (the Fund) is a donor-advised fund created in 2000 by SEI Investment Company. As such, it is a public charity with a board of directors comprised of independent and SEI-affiliated members. Donors can make irrevocable contributions to individual accounts in the SEI Giving Fund, recommend how the accounts assets are invested and recommend grants from the accounts to charities. The SEI Giving Fund currently has approximately 70 individual accounts and assets of approximately $25-30 million, with great growth potential.
Job Description
The SEI Giving Fund has an immediate opportunity for a strong marketing and relationship management professional to serve as the Executive Director of the SEI Giving Fund. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the activities of the SEI Giving Fund and acting as the spokesperson for the Fund. Activities will also include the establishment of marketing programs for the fund in order to grow assets.
The Executive Director of the SEI Giving Fund reports directly to the SEI Giving Fund Board of Directors.
This is a part-time position approximately 10 hours a week. Specific hours are somewhat flexible.
Responsibilities
Oversight of the operations of the Fund
Sales support for intermediaries distributing the Fund to their end clients
Provide education and training for SEI sales and service teams
Vendor management
Board reporting
Coordination of auditing process and tax return preparation
Assist internal SEI business units with sales positioning of the Fund
Work with legal counsel to insure Funds compliance with Pension Protection Act and to pass public support test
Develop annual budget
Oversee due diligence process
Oversee federal and state filing process
Maintain Fund website and all marketing materials
Review and monitor investment options offered to donors
Required Experience and Skills
Prior experience with and basic knowledge of charitable vehicles, including donor advised funds
Understanding of distribution channels for and marketing of a financial product
Working knowledge of grant making and due diligence procedures
Strong relationship management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
