Eastern State Penitentiary Historic Site seeks tour staff for full-time & part-time, seasonal work. The Penitentiary is open everyday (except Easter and Thanksgiving), April through November. The tour staff is responsible for all aspect of site operations including selling tickets and merchandise, distributing audio tours, answering visitor questions, monitoring exhibits in the cellblocks, leading hands on interpretive experiences, leading 30 –45 minute tours on various topics, leading one hour long private group tours, and helping with site maintenance.
Must be energetic, able to work independently, and comfortable speaking in front of the public. Join this tight-knit, diverse team! Pay begins at 9.00/ hour (10.00/ hour upon the completion of training),. There is also an hours based incentive for tour guides who finish the season. This is a seasonal position. The site will close for the winter on November 30.
